Young Variety’s 10th Anniversary Dinner Honoring Eric Tabak November 24, 2014 8:51 PM - Young Variety of Southern California

On November 13th, Young Variety of Southern California celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a special dinner honoring its founder and first board President, Eric Tabak. One of the first events that helped establish YVSoCal was the annual turkey dinner and to commemorate their milestone, they held a special turkey dinner at The Castaway in Burbank. Former board members, current board members, partner organizations and supporters of Young Variety and Variety of Southern California came together to look back at the last ten years and honor the one that brought Young Variety together.

Eric Tabak continues to actively contribute to the welfare of Southern California children by serving on the Board of Directors of Variety of Southern California and chairing the annual golf tournament.

Also joining the event was Kara Mondino, Executive Director of Hollywood HEART, who spoke with great enthusiasm about Young Variety’s partnership with their summer camp program for teens impacted by HIV/AIDS, Camp Hollywood HEART, for the last four years. The 10th Anniversary celebration also showcased the rebranding of the Young Variety logo.

It was a great night looking back at Young Variety’s impact over the years and how they continue to promote the mission of Variety of Southern California. The original board members continue to play active roles in Variety and its programs. The evening could not have been made possible without their ongoing participation, as well as their sponsors, ACS Enterprises, Allure Global, Dolby, Midnight Oil and Vision Media Management, who are extremely generous in their support.

Thank you, Eric, for bringing Young Variety of Southern California together and showing us the importance of giving back to the community! We hope the next 10 years continue with the passion and dedication you instilled in Young Variety.
